New Build – Members of our team are able to assist with initial advice on the fire implications of new build developments and fire strategy. We have experience of providing developers with fire strategies for new builds and for buildings where construction work has started with no formal strategy document in place.
Existing buildings – Periodic fire risk assessments are recommended for all building types. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires the responsible person (e.g. owner, tenant, property manager etc) to carry out fire risk assessments and implement the results of such assessments . There is case law now where people have been prosecuted for not doing such.
Following a fire – our team of Building surveyors have experience of surveying fire damaged buildings, specifying suitable repairs and then monitoring the project to completion. We have experience of dealing with loss adjusters and insurance companies and can assist practical advice on the issues immediately after a fire.
